다시 찾은 나의 세계

세상에서 가장 작은 서점 ‘지혜의 서점’을 운영하는 지혜의 첫 에세이 <다시 찾은 나의 세계>의 책 표지.
예상 독자층이 연애에 어려움을 겪었거나 겪고 있는 여성들과 서점, 채식 지향의 삶, 고양이, 독서 등에 관심사를 가지고 있는 분들이었기 때문에 잔잔하면서 따듯함, 담백함을 표지에 담을 수 있는 일러스트레이션과 컬러를 사용하였습니다.
제목의 ‘다시 찾은 나의 세계'를 일러스트레이션을 이용해 직접적이지 않고 은유하여 보여주는 방식을 고민하였고, 앞과 뒤표지에 있는 타원이 새로운 거울이나 문 또는 눈(eye)으로 작가의 새로운 세계 혹은 그것을 바라보는 새로운 시선으로 보일 수 있도록 풀어보았습니다.

Since the target audience for this publication were women who struggle with dating difficulties or are interested in booksellers, vegetarian lifestyles, cats, and reading, my choice of illustrations and colors for the cover sought to convey a sense of calm, warmth and light.
I carefully considered how to use illustration to reflect the title My Newfound World in a metaphorical sense rather than a literal one, placing an ellipse on the front and back covers that represents the author's rediscovered world and can be interpreted as a mirror, door or eye.
