아트북 <앞으로 갔다 뒤로 갔다 하릴없이 왔다 갔다만>의 책 디자인.
<앞으로 갔다 뒤로 갔다 하릴없이 왔다 갔다만>은 서울문화의 지원을 받아 진행한 서재웅 작가의 작품과 허구의 이야기가 담긴 책입니다. 화자가 의도치 않게 꿈과 현실, 과거와 현재로 왔다 갔다 하며 서서히 그 경계가 허물어지면서 혼란에 빠지는 이야기로 비현실적이면서 어지러운 상황을 표지에 담았습니다. 내지는 현재(현실)와 과거(꿈)를 나누어 다른 재질과 색상의 종이를 사용하였으며, 점점 정신이 희미해지고 결국 해안절벽의 바닷속으로 빠지게 되는 상황을 휘어지고 어그러지며 곤두박질치는 느낌의 타이포그래피로 더욱 강조하였습니다.
A book of fiction by Seo Jaewoong supported by Seoul Culture Foundation. Going Forward, Going Backward, Unwillingly Going Back and Forth centers on the narrator's incessant and unintentional movement between dreams and reality, past and present. In doing so, the boundaries that separate these conditions slowly dissolve and lead to chaos, which I depicted by designing a dizzying and ambiguous cover. By dividing the narrator's inner world and present reality from the dreams of the past using paper of different materials and colors, I emphasized the circumstances in which our minds gradually fade and eventually topple into the sea from a coastal cliff, incorporating typography that feels bent and distorted, as if plummeting into an abyss.
