한국 현대 예술 정보 미디어 <Seoul Art Friend>의 B.I. Design.
<Seoul Art Friend>는 한국 현대 예술을 알리고 관련 정보를 제공하는 미디어 이므로 세련되고 친근하면서 한국의 예술을 떠올릴 수 있는 로고를 만들고자 하였습니다. ‘경주 얼굴무늬 수막새’의 한국적이면서도 친근한 얼굴에서 영감을 받아 이니셜 S와 F를 사용하여 서울 아트 프렌드만의 얼굴을 완성했습니다. 정보가 주를 이루는 만큼 푸른 컬러로 전문적인 이미지를 강조하되 자칫 딱딱하거나 지루해질 수 있는 부분을 재미있는 서체를 사용하여 <Seoul Art Friend>만의 특별하고 친근한 이미지를 더하였습니다.
Seoul Art Friend promotes Korean contemporary art and delivers relevant information on the local art scene, so I wanted to make a logo reminiscent of Korean art in a sophisticated, accessible way. Taking inspiration from the friendly Korean face of a 7th century Silla Dynasty artifact (Gyeongju Roof-End Tile with Smiling Face), I used the letters S and F to compose a face for Seoul Art Friend. I used blue to convey a professional quality while limiting the amount of visual information in the design, creating a unique and approachable image for Seoul Art Friend using an engaging and refreshing typeface.
